Find out how the American Army outwitted the British with secrets and tricks to win the American Revolution! The program is for children ages 6 – 14 who can read and write. This is a FREE ticketed event. Program length is approximately 45 minutes. Explore a variety of STEM and aviation-themed sciences with a short lesson and hands-on activity. Ideal for learners ages 8-12. THIS MONTH: College Park is home to the oldest continuously operating airport in the world. With that record, we have a lot of aviation history to celebrate at our airport. Participants will learn about the many ‘firsts’ that happened right here at CPA and then get the chance to design and model their own airfields of the future. About the Program
Since 1996, the Teen Performance Ensemble has provided on-the-job training in musical theater skills to aspiring teen actors. The troupe presents one-act musical plays, directed by theatrical professionals, to the public and to children enrolled in M-NCPPC’s Summer Playgrounds and Camps. Dr. Taiye Ayoola-Adedeji is the author of the interactive bilingual (English and Yoruba) book The Yoruba Sound Book for Children. She will engage children in fun cultural activities include music and play about the Yoruba people and culture. She engages children in using Yoruba words for colors, animals, foods, greetings, and seasons. Recommended for ages 4-12 with an accompanying adult. All ages under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
