As a species, our unbridled exploitation of nature’s finite resources leads us to the brink of environmental catastrophe. We have never been so separated from nature, from the essential rhythms and flows which have sustained us. When did we lose our connection, and can we get it back? Walking in the woods, our blood pressure drops, stress hormones decrease, and our breathing eases. We belong. Human/Nature is a project to show how we are reflected in nature. I shoot photos of natural subjects, cut the prints into little pieces, and create collages of human faces and eyes. If we can see ourselves in nature, made from it rather than conquering it, perhaps we can start to heal our relationship and support a more sustainable future.

Kimberly Margioni’s work explores the delicate balance between nature, emotion, and cultural heritage. Drawing inspiration from the world around her—the vibrant landscapes or the quiet beauty of everyday moments—she seeks to capture the essence of life in its raw, unfiltered form. Her creative process is rooted in the belief that art has the power to transcend boundaries and speak directly to the soul. Each piece reflects her travel journey, an invitation to feel deeply and connect with the universal experience of love, resilience, and transformation. As a current naval officer and mechanical engineer, she brings a unique perspective to her art, breaking from the rigidity of her day-to-day to dive into her abstract, fluid, imperfect approach with emotional depth. This creates both structured and fluid works, grounded yet ever evolving.

Designing through the Geometry comprises two series, Jupiter Background in Black and Time, by Argentinian artist Maria Santiago. Time is invisible. The Past-Present-Future is one with constant movement: yesterday, today, and tomorrow. Time transforms into small movements or changes. Time is magic. The artist focuses on color and time, where everything is always moving and everything changes. However, the background is completely quiet, and the shapes are only inside the circle as time passes. This mixed-media show focuses on what it means to explore texture and bright colors against geometric shapes.
