The indoor competition pool at the Prince George’s County Sports and Learning Complex (SPLEX) is 25 years old and original to the facility. In 2023, it was discovered that the pool walls were structurally insufficient requiring ongoing and unsustainable maintenance issues. To correct these problems and provide Prince George’s County residents a best-in-class indoor swimming experience for both recreation and competition, M-NCPPC decided to replace the existing pool with a premier Myrtha pool. In addition to the pool replacement, the associated pool locker rooms and adjoining spaces will be refreshed, and the dehumidification units will be replaced to ensure maximum comfort for all users and guests.
