M-NCPPC, Department of Parks and Recreation, Prince George’s County reopens Prince George’s Sports and Learning Complex Competition Pool

RIVERDALE, Md. – The Prince George’s Sports and Learning Complex competition pool will reopen to the public with a limited schedule starting Monday, September 25, 2023. M-NCPPC, Department of Parks and Recreation, Prince George’s County has completed the pool assessment and installed monitoring equipment to safely reopen the pool temporarily. The 23-year-old pool will close again within the next year to implement planned major capital improvement.

The competition pool will operate on the following limited schedule:

Monday, Friday: 6 am – 5 pm

Wednesday: 6 am – 12 pm & 4 pm – 8 pm

Tuesday, Thursday: 4 pm – 8 pm

Saturday: 9 am – 5 pm

Sunday: 12 pm – 5 pm

The new equipment will continuously monitor the condition of the pool area. Patrons are asked to refrain from entering marked-off areas on the pool deck. Rentals and the availability of the deep end of the pool will be limited and vary.
