Enjoy a short story and craft in the gallery. These programs are designed for younger learners 5 & under. THIS MONTH: Did you know that the first successful balloon flight in the United States happened right here in Maryland? In 1784, Edward Warren was the first passenger in a successful hot air balloon journey. Learn about this historic flight in the book The Amazing Air Balloon, by Jean Van Leeuwen, and celebrate the aviation first by creating your hot air balloon! Registration is not required and drop-ins are welcome.
