Honrando el pasado, inspirando el futuro
Honoring the Past, Inspiring the Future

Honoring the Past, Inspiring the Future
Narrative of the Design:
“Our Hispanic Heritage Month poster depicts two generations working together on an embroidered tapestry. The older, weathered hands represent ancestral wisdom and ‘honoring the past.’ The younger hands symbolize the future carrying forward traditions. The tapestry features national flowers from Spanish-speaking countries to celebrate collective heritage, monarch butterflies representing transformation and migration journeys, and traditional Latin architecture that bridges past and present. This intergenerational scene honors how cultural knowledge and artistic traditions are passed down while adapting to new experiences.”
