Use your Pastport to travel through time and discover the real stories of the people who built and shaped Prince George’s County. At each museum you visit, explore exhibits, programs, and tours, and discover how the past connects to your present. General admission to all museums is FREE.

- Turn in your Pastport to enter a drawing for a FREE trip to any National Trust for Historic Preservation site you choose!
WHAT’S THE PRIZE
Enter for a chance to win one of two free trips for two to any National Trust for Historic Preservation site of your choice! Explore all the amazing destinations you could choose from at savingplaces.org.
Each grand prize includes:
- Round-trip airfare
- A 3-day, 2-night stay for two in one hotel room near your selected historic site
- Admission to the site, coordinated by the National Trust for Historic Preservation

Program Overview
The Pastport to History program encourages participants to visit museums and historic sites operated by M-NCPPC in Prince George’s County. Participants who collect stamps at designated locations may enter the sweepstakes for a chance to win the grand prize.
No Purchase Necessary
- Federal law requires that sweepstakes be free to enter.
- Pastport booklets are free and available for pick up at locations across Prince George’s County.
- General admission is free throughout the 2026 calendar year at historic sites and museums operated by M-NCPPC, including: College Park Aviation Museum, Darnall’s Chance Historic Site & Museum, Marietta Historic Site & Museum, Montpelier Historic Site & Museum, Ridgeley Rosenwald School Historic Site & Museum, Riversdale Historic Site & Museum, and Surratt Historic Site & Museum.
- Please note:
- Free admission applies to general museum entry only. Special programs and events may have an additional cost.
- Free admission only applies to historic sites operated by M-NCPPC, and does not apply to sites operated by community partners.
- Visitation to community partners is not required to participate in the Pastport program. These are additional locations to explore and learn about history and culture in Prince George’s County.

Eligibility
- Anyone can pick up a Pastport to History booklet and use it to visit the selected historic sites & museums across Prince George’s County.
- M-NCPPC employees and their immediate family members may enjoy the Pastport to History program and receive free general admission to M-NCPPC museums, but are not eligible for the grand prize drawing.
- Residency is not required. Participants do not need to live in Prince George’s County to take part in the Pastport to History program or, if qualified, to enter the drawing.
Defined Timelines
- Program Duration: The Pastport to History booklet program runs from January 1, 2026, through December 31, 2026, at 5:00 PM EST.
- Entry Deadline: Completed Pastports must be submitted in person or postmarked by mail no later than December 31, 2026.
- Grand Prize Drawing: The drawing will take place on January 15, 2027; winners will be notified the same day.
- Prize Fulfillment: Winners must book and complete travel by September 1, 2027. For questions, contact Kevin Cabrera at kevin.cabrera@pgparks.com.
Entry Rules
- Limited to one Pastport entry per individual.
- Two random winners will be selected in the grand prize drawing.
- Winners will be notified on January 15, 2027, via the contact information provided on their Pastport entry. If a winner does not respond within 10 business days, the prize may be forfeited.
How to Enter
- 1. Pick up a Pastport booklet at any participating museum or designated Prince George’s County location.
- 2. Visit participating museums and collect the required stamps in your Pastport.
- 3. Submit your completed Pastport in person or by mail by the entry deadline.
- In-Person: Submit in-person at one of the participating museums. They can only be submitted at M-NCPPC museums, not at all the pick-up locations.
- Mail in: Send via mail using the address below. They must be postmarked by December 31, 2026.

Prize Details
- Grand Prize: A trip for two, within the continental United States including:
- Round-trip airfare
- A 3-day, 2-night stay for two people in one hotel room near the selected historic site
- If a minor is selected as the winner in the random drawing, their parent/legal guardian will be required to be their plus one for the trip.
- Admission to the selected historic site
- The National Historic Trust for Historic Preservation will coordinate the historic site experience (includes admission).
- Not included: Stipend for the trip, food / meals, room service, in-room videos, dry cleaning, tips, parking, ground transportation and transit, transportation to and from airports, or any additional costs once at the destination.
- Prize is non-transferable and has no cash value.

Personal information collected for this drawing will be used solely for the administration of the program, will be shared only in accordance with applicable law, and will not be sold.
