Kentland Golf Training Complex is located behind the Kentland Community Center and provides county residents with a facility to learn the game or sharpen their skills. This three-hole, par three layout allows golfers to play the course three times (front, middle, back) to experience a full nine holes. Each golf green strategically allows various golf shots onto the greens with large putting areas for reading undulations and practicing various putting techniques. Kentland Golf Training Complex is located in Landover on part of the old Prince George’s Country Club.

This location is used for Junior Golf Programs to meet the growing demand for the learn-to-golf experience. In conjunction with the existing programming at Kentland Community Center, we offer golf camps, classes and clinics. Please see the Junior Golf tab for details on our existing programs.

The game of golf teaches us respect, patience, and concentration – skills we also need for the game of life.

Current programs include:

  • First Tee of Greater Washington, DC
  • PGA Jr. League
  • Operation 36

First Tee of Greater Washington, DC (Ages 7-18)

The First Tee started as a way to bring an affordable junior golf program to youth and communities that did not have them. What The First Tee soon discovered was that by blending the rules of the game with life and leadership skills, kids and teens didn’t just learn how to putt – they were learning important values.

The First Tee Mission: To impact the lives of young people by providing educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values, and promote healthy choices through the game of golf.
