Safe Summer is M-NCPPC, Department of Parks and Recreation’s evening summer recreation teen program that offers special community center hours for teens and young adults who are Prince George’s County residents. Safe Summer offers recreation, safe spaces, and positive youth development for participants.
El programa Verano Seguro o “Safe Summer” es un programa nocturno de recreación de verano de M-NCPPC, Departamento de Parques y Recreación que ofrece recreación,espacios seguros, desarrollo juvenil positivo y un horario extendido del centro comunitario para jóvenes (de 10 a 17 años) que son residentes del Condado de Prince George’s.

Tuesdays & Thursdays: 9 pm-12 midnight
Fridays & Saturdays: 7 pm-12 midnight
** Rollingcrest Chillum hosts a girls basketball league as part of the Safe Summer activities on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 7-10 pm. A full range of other activities are available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 9 pm-12 midnight for ages 13-17 years old. The league and the additional programming on Tuesdays and Wednesday are part of the free activities being offered.
* North Brentwood Community Center has Safe Summer Adult Basketball League Tuesdays and Thursdays. Their hours are modified on Tuesdays and Thursdays 8 pm-12 midnight (Adult is 18-24 for the league only). On Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, the hours are 9 pm-12 midnight and the ages are 13-17.
