M-NCPPC, Department of Parks and Recreation, Prince George’s County Announces Closures Due to Severe Weather
RIVERDALE, Md. (September 4, 2026) – Following the recent severe storm that impacted the region, M-NCPPC, Department of Parks and Recreation, Prince George’s County is assessing damage to parks, trails, and recreational facilities. As a result, certain parks and facilities are currently closed to ensure public safety and allow staff to conduct inspections, cleanup, and repairs.
Department maintenance and operations teams are actively assessing conditions across the county and working to clear debris, address hazards, and restore affected areas as quickly and safely as possible.
