Celebrate Africa will feature performances with artists and events that showcase the rich cultures of the African continent!

Patrons are strongly encouraged to park at the nearby Colmar Manor Community Park (3200 37th Avenue, Colmar, MD) and ride the shuttle to the festival.

Performances & Activities

Ntungalie Enoch – Music

From the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ntungalia Enoch performs a variety of African music genres including Afro-rhumba, Soukous, Afrobeats, Afro-trap, and more.

Elikeh – Music

Togo-born Elikeh makes music that fuses Togolese rhythms with American-influenced blues, funk and rock, resulting in catchy and danceable Afropop tunes.

Wayna – Music

Wayna, an Ethiopian-born, GRAMMYnominated singer/songwriter, combines hip-hop, soul, and Africaninspired grooves to create a sound all her own and experiences that audiences long remember.

Anna Mwalagho – Performer/Emcee

Singer, storyteller, dancer, and comedian Ana Mwalagho – the “Queen of spoken Afro beat” graces the Celebrate Africa stage with her band… and co-emcee’s this year’s show.

DJ Kweks – Deejay/Emcee

You’ll never want to leave the dance floor as DJ Kweks, one of the world’s most sought-after international DJs – will spin the fiercest music tracks from the African continent. He will also co-emcee this year’s edition of the festival.

Serengeti Gallery – Art Exhibition

The Serengeti Gallery returns to delight Celebrate Africa audiences with a curated, interactive visual art exhibit featuring works from many countries across the African continent.

Fritete African Drum and Dance – Drumming and Community Dance

You are invited to dance to the drums of Fritete African Drum and Dance and learn some traditional dances of West Africa.
