Capital Planning and Development Division receives award for the new Marlow Heights Community Center Project
The Department of Parks and Recreation, Prince George’s County’s Capital Planning and Development Division and MCN Build have received the ENR MidAtlantic Award of Merit in the Sports and Entertainment category for the new Marlow Heights Community Center project.
The ENR MidAtlantic Best Projects Awards recognizes outstanding regional construction and design achievements across Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia and the District of Columbia. Projects are evaluated on the ability of the project team to overcome challenges, contribution to the industry and community, safety and construction and design quality.
The Department of Parks and Recreation partnered with MCN build to complete the new community center, which reopened to the public in spring 2025.
The state-of-the-art facility spans more than 20,000 square feet and was designed to meet the diverse recreational and leisure needs of the Marlow Heights community. This recognition highlights the team’s commitment to delivering high-quality facilities to enhance residents’ quality of life and provide lasting benefits to the community.
