Learn about the local community in Nottingham, Prince George’s County, through oral histories, schoolhouse tours, and more. The Middle Passage Port Markers and Ceremonies Project, in partnership with Parks and Planning, will be revealing the new Nottingham Middle Passage signage and hosting a flower sendoff created with you, the community, throughout the day. Share your stories about Nottingham during the event, learn more about the impact of the Patuxent River on southern Prince George’s County, and help take care of the river by creating duck boxes to place along the coast.
