Participants who collect stamps at designated locations may enter the sweepstakes for a chance to win the grand prize. \n\n\n\nNo Purchase Necessary \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\nFederal law requires that sweepstakes be free to enter.\n\n\n\nPastport booklets are free and available for pick up at locations across Prince George’s County.\n\n\n\nGeneral admission is free throughout the 2026 calendar year at historic sites and museums operated by M-NCPPC\, including: College Park Aviation Museum\, Darnall’s Chance Historic Site & Museum\, Marietta Historic Site & Museum\, Montpelier Historic Site & Museum\, Ridgeley Rosenwald School Historic Site & Museum\, Riversdale Historic Site & Museum\, and Surratt Historic Site & Museum.\n\nPlease note:\n\nFree admission applies to general museum entry only. Special programs and events may have an additional cost.\n\n\n\nFree admission only applies to historic sites operated by M-NCPPC\, and does not apply to sites operated by community partners.\n\nVisitation to community partners is not required to participate in the Pastport program. These are additional locations to explore and learn about history and culture in Prince George’s County.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEligibility \n\n\n\n\nAnyone can pick up a Pastport to History booklet and use it to visit the selected historic sites & museums across Prince George’s County.\n\n\n\nM-NCPPC employees and their immediate family members may enjoy the Pastport to History program and receive free general admission to M-NCPPC museums\, but are not eligible for the grand prize drawing.\n\n\n\nResidency is not required. Participants do not need to live in Prince George’s County to take part in the Pastport to History program or\, if qualified\, to enter the drawing.\n\n\n\n\nDefined Timelines \n\n\n\n\nProgram Duration: The Pastport to History booklet program runs from January 1\, 2026\, through December 31\, 2026\, at 5:00 PM EST. \n\n\n\nEntry Deadline: Completed Pastports must be submitted in person or postmarked by mail no later than December 31\, 2026. \n\n\n\nGrand Prize Drawing: The drawing will take place on January 15\, 2027; winners will be notified the same day.  \n\n\n\nPrize Fulfillment: Winners must book and complete travel by September 1\, 2027. Come join us and learn more about fossils\, including the dinosaurs who used to call Maryland home. Guests can expect an orientation and then the opportunity to search the surface of the ground for fossils. No prior registration required. ASL interpretation is offered at each event. All park rules apply (listed below).1. Closed toed shoes required2. No pets or tools allowed inside the fossil site3. Guests cannot cross the rope fence4. There is no digging during this program. All fossils are naturally eroding from the ground5. No running in the fossil site6. No throwing rocks or rolling rocks7. All scientifically important fossils will be kept in trust with the commission to be used for current and future research
