The Competition Pool
Our 50-meter indoor pool can hold multiple events simultaneously. Our lap lanes are open for community members, and a host of water fitness classes and events, including swim practice for the local USA Swimming and high school teams. The pool is equipped to hold national and international swim meets with complete setups for touchpads and electronic timing systems. With seats for almost 1,000 spectators, this Aquatic Center is one of the largest in the region. NOTE: The Competition Pool will be CLOSED starting Thursday, January 26, 2023, until further notice for continued maintenance assessment.
The Leisure Pool
When the focus is on fun, the indoor leisure pool is the place to relax. Water effects and tumble buckets take center stage.
Swimmers can float along the Lazy River with its constant current, slide down the meandering water slide, or kick back in the 18-person spa and let the warm jets of water, with temperatures ranging from 102 to 104 degrees, ease away aches and pains. Kept at a constant 84 to 86 degrees, the leisure pool is also available for aqua arthritis classes. Both the competition pool and leisure pool are wheelchair accessible.
To prevent pool contamination, babies and children who are not potty-trained must wear plastic diaper panties over swim diapers. Those without plastic diaper panties over swim diapers, will not be able to get in the pool.
Swimming Lessons
The swim lesson program follows the American Red Cross Parent and Child, Preschool, Learn-to-Swim, and Adult curricula. Learn more about swimming lesson offerings.
Support Areas
Classrooms adjacent to the pool are great for aquatics classes that include instruction both in and out of the water. Men’s and women’s locker rooms feature showers, family changing areas, and coin-operated lockers.
Staff
Staff guarding both the competition pool and leisure pool are certified by the American Red Cross.
