Find everything you wanted to know about the Xtreme Teens Program! Below you will find information to help answer your questions about becoming an Xtreme Teens or Xtreme Pre-Teens member. If you need additional assistance, we encourage you to stop by your local Prince George's County community center and talk with the knowledgeable staff about our programs.
How do I get my FREE youth ID card?
If you already have your FREE SMARTlink account, come into any M-NCPPC community center in Prince George's County, and using your SMARTlink family PIN and individual bar code, ask staff at the center for your FREE youth ID card!
If you don't yet have a FREE SMARTlink account, register as a SMARTlink client so you can get your FREE youth ID card. Come into any M-NCPPC community center in Prince George's County with your parent/guardian. Bring documentation with proof of residency and age for parent/guardian and for children. (Each family member may register as a SMARTlink customer, so age and residency documentation are required for all.) After you've completed this step, one family PIN and individual bar codes for each family member will be provided. Who is eligible to get a FREE Youth ID card?
Residents ages 6-17 may get a FREE Youth ID card.
Where do I use my FREE Youth ID card?
With a FREE Youth ID card, those ages 6-17 get access to community center drop-in activities and other programs at centers throughout the county. (This does not include classes that have a fee.) Special recreation opportunities for those with a Youth ID card are also offered periodically!
Teens ages 13-17 may use community center fitness/weight rooms for free with the card. (Supervision by an adult with a valid fitness pass is required in the fitness/weight room for those ages 13-15.) Those ages 13-17 get access to Xtreme Teens activities - programs held solely for 13-17-year olds - with a FREE Youth ID card. These programs include trips, performances, sports, arts, community service learning projects, academic enrichment, games, and more. Currently, Xtreme Teens weekend programs are held at community centers, countywide, on Fridays and Saturdays from 7-10 pm. (The centers are open to those ages 13-17 only during these times.) Information about volunteer, leadership, and employment opportunities is available through Xtreme Teens programs. Special opportunities for those with a Youth ID card are also offered periodically!
Pre-teens ages 10-12 get access to Xtreme Pre-teens activities - programs held solely for 10-12-year olds - with a FREE Youth ID card. These programs include trips, performances, sports, arts, academic enrichment, games, and more. Special opportunities for those with a Youth ID card are also offered periodically!

Can I take a friend on a trip who is not a member?
In order for your friends to participate in our program, they must become members.
