Career and College

Over a quarter of a million students go to college in Maryland. A quality higher education has never been as important as it is in today's fast-paced, technologically driven society; it is never too soon to think about college or career schools. Xtreme Teens will help you grow into a successful competitive young adult. Come with us and explore everything from colleges that offer programs in teaching, nursing, law enforcement, and engineering, to career schools that offer everything from cosmetology to computer training.     IMPORTANT DATES FOR APPLYING TO COLLEGE

    September-January

    • Take SAT I or ACT if required by the college you plan to attend.
    • Get a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

    February

    • Mail the FAFSA no later than February 15 and not before January 1.

    March

    • March 1 is the deadline for receipt of the FASFA by the federal processor so you can be considered for a Maryland State Scholarship.

    SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
    There are many types of scholarships available outside of a particular college or university. Don't think that it is too hard to apply! You may be able to write one or two essays that can be modified and used for multiple scholarship and/or admissions applications. Some of these scholarships are listed below. Pay attention to scholarship deadlines.
