Columbus Chapel - Wildlife Park, PA
Tour includes the Penn State area and the scenic countryside of the beautiful state of Pennsylvania. Our first stop is the Farm and Wildlife Center for a 90-minute, guided motorized adventure of over 1500 acres of field and forest preserved for North American animals. You will see close ups of bear, wolves, elk, bobcats, bison, cougar and other animals. Then, we’ll tour Boalsburg, Pennsylvania, nationally known as the birthplace of Memorial Day in 1864. We will tour the Boals Mansion and the Christopher Columbus Chapel which contains Columbus’ Admiral’s desk that was brought over in 1909 from Spain, along with a collection of Columbus religious relics, fine arts and two pieces of the True Cross. Lunch is included at Kelly’s Steak and Seafood restaurant in the quaint town of State College. Usher in Spring with a visit to the Washington National Cathedral. Take a guided morning tour of the Gardens and Herb Cottage.
