Fees are listed with two prices: the first price is for residents of Prince George's and Montgomery Counties (bi-county residents); the second is for non-residents (non bi-county).



Activities throughout September

2nd Annual Fall Hiking Spree
From September 1 through December 31 discover wonderful hiking opportunities and beautiful vistas along a variety of trails throughout Prince George's County. Hike on your own or take a guided hike with a park naturalist. Join us for a kickoff FREE celebration on September 6, 12 noon-3 pm at Patuxent River Park. Visit

The Prince George's County Boys & Girls Club is a private, non-profit corporation incorporated under the statutes of the State of Maryland, governed by a Board of Directors. The various clubs provide Prince George's County youth opportunities to participate in many activities sponsored and conducted by 33 member clubs located throughout the county. Each club is administered by volunteers. At the present time, 3,000 volunteers serve 18,000 youth members. Member clubs offer basketball, soccer, baseball, softball, and cheerleading, track, and football programs for girls and boys ages 5 - 18. These activities are available to all Prince George's County youth, regardless of ability and/or skill level. Participants receive instruction from coaches who are American Sports Effectiveness Program qualified. Become involved. Tucker Road Ice Rink Information
The rink will be closed from mid-August through September 12 for annual maintenance. When the rink reopens, sign up for lessons or skate during a public session. Our certified instructors are anxious to teach you to ice skate. We offer a variety of classes for all skill levels and age groups. On the first day of lessons you'll receive a practice card, good for up to 6 FREE admissions and skate rentals to practice during any public ice skating session. Skates are provided during lessons. Old Maryland Farm Activities & Programs

Fitness Assessments (by appointment)
This is a scientific testing format that determines one's fitness level. It aids in establishing a safe and appropriate exercise-training program while providing baseline information to chart your progress. Two types of assessments are offered - basic or deluxe. Snoopy as the World War I - Flying Ace Exhibit
This exhibit showcases 40 of Snoopy's most exciting adventures in his transformed doghouse-now a Sopwith Camel airplane. This exhibit, organized by the Charles M. Schultz Museum and Research Center, is a program of ExhibitUSA, a national division of Mid-America Arts Alliance and the National Endowment for the Arts.

A Boy and His Glider Exhibit
Bert Brooks bought the plans for a Northrop Primary Glider when he was sixteen. A year later he was flying this recreational glider at Congressional Airport, located at the modern-day Congressional Country Club. Orville Wright signed his 1933 glider license.

Darnall's Chance House Museum Tours
Darnall's Chance was built in 1742 by a wealthy Scottish merchant and entrepreneur named James Wardrop. Museum tours highlight the similarities and differences between Mr. Wardrop's wife, Lettice Lee, and the lives of other 18th century women, gentry, middling, and enslaved, who lived here.
