Athletic facilities for sports of all types are available throughout the park system in Prince George's County. Developed local and regional parks offer outdoor sports facilities including basketball courts (lighted and unlighted, full and half courts), a bocci court, lighted and unlighted athletic fields for softball, baseball, football, soccer, and cricket, trails, volleyball courts, archery ranges, racquetball courts, fitness clusters, street hockey courts, a horseshow ring, horseshoe pits, ball walls, an outdoor track, and lighted and unlighted tennis courts. Fishing piers and boat launches are also available at some sites. Indoor basketball courts, and weight/fitness rooms are found at many of the Commission's community centers, and racquetball courts are available at some sites. Included among the Commission's sports facilities are golf courses, ice skating rinks, swimming pools, tennis court complexes, and specialized sports facilities.
