Rules and Regulations
for Park Permitted Sites

The facility reserved is subject to inspection by any authorized representative of the Commission in order to assure proper use of Park property in compliance with Park rules and regulations. PERMIT MUST BE IN THE POSSESSION OF THE PERSON TO WHOM IT IS ISSUED AND SHOWN UPON REQUEST.

The permittee agrees to leave the facility clean and orderly and assumes personal liability for the cost of excessive cleanup of the premises: loss, breakage, or removal of Park property and responsibility for the conduct and good order of the group.

The Commission is not responsible for personal property which is damaged, misplaced, lost or stolen belonging to any individual or group using M-NCPPC facilities.

The use of Park facilities for commercial enterprises or private profit, is prohibited.

It is the policy of this Commission to issue permits to only residents of Montgomery and Prince George's Counties. For social functions in Recreation Centers, a deposit of $150 (one hundred fifty dollars) is required. The deposit will be refunded, five (5) working days following activity, if inspection of the facility shows no damage or violations. A $40 (forty dollar) key deposit is also required and the key must be returned no later than two (2) working days following the activity, or the key deposit will be forfeited. It is further understood that the Commission reserves the right to bill the permittee for the amount deemed necessary for the cost of excessive cleanup of the premises, and the cost of the repairs or the replacement of any loss, breakage or removal of Park property by any member of the group.

This Commission reserves the right to cancel all permits with as much notice as practicable and holds the person to whom this permit is issued responsible for notifying the Park Permit Office in advance of any cancellation.

CANCELLATION POLICY: All cancellations prior to five (5) business days of an event will result in an 80% refund of the cost of the facility. All cancellations within four (4) business days of an event will not be eligible for any refund.
  1. Persons/teams using picnic areas or athletic fields without reservations must surrender same, at once, to anyone presenting an official M-NCPPC permit.
  2. Applicant/Manager will be held responsible for the conduct of all persons within their group or team.
  3. ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ARE NOT PERMITTED ON PARK PREMISES. Keg beer may be dispensed by special permit only.
  4. This permit is accepted with the understanding that the M-NCPPC is absolved of all responsibilities or liability for any injuries sustained due to faulty or defective condition of equipment, apparatus, building, or conditions of grounds, or from any cause whatsoever. Pets are not allowed inside the Recreation Centers.
  5. To accept no admission fees, or to sell, or offer for sale any merchandise, article or thing.
  6. Not to practice, carry on, conduct or solicit for ANY trade, occupation, business, or profession, what so ever. Not to distribute any handbills or circulars, or to post, place, or erect any bills, notices, paper, advertising device, or matter of any kind.
  7. To lock building when leaving and extinguish fires in the outside grills.
  8. Loud music or excessive noise is prohibited on all outside grounds, or any area where the peace is disturbed. NO LIVE BANDS.
  9. By affixing my signature below, I certify that I am 21 years old, a resident of Prince George's or Montgomery County and two- thirds (2/3) of my group are residents of Prince George's or Montgomery County.
I agree that this acceptance is on behalf of all persons in the group with me, and that if the rules are violated, this permit may be revoked and future permission to use park areas may be refused me or the group; and to be present during the period stated on permit, otherwise this permit is void.

Any person violating any of the provisions of these regulations shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction, thereof, shall be punished by a fine in the sum not exceeding Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) or by imprisonment for a term not exceeding ninety (90) days, or by both, in the discretion of the court. (Under the authority of the Annotated Code of Maryland, Article 66D, 2-120).
