Saturday, April 12 & 26, 10 am-2 pm
Pirate for a Day
Calling all landlubbers! Have you ever dreamed of life on the high seas, manning the sails and hunting for treasure? Darnall's Chance House Museum is looking for boys and girls ages 8-12 who want to learn more about life aboard a pirate ship. As a pirate-in- training, you will try on pirate gear, make a pirate flag, and learn to navigate with a compass. After you've mastered all the skills you need to find treasure, you will go on a hunt for pirate gold.
Reservation and payment required in advance.
Fee: $20 per child

Saturday, May 3, 1-2:30 pm
Mrs. Sowers' Tea Lessons for Young Ladies
Mrs. Sowers cordially invites young ladies ages 8-12 years old to Darnall's Chance House Museum for 18th century tea lessons and instruction. After their lessons, young ladies will demonstrate what they learned by partaking in their own tea party. Following tea, instruction will be given in the finer points of 18th century dance.
Reservation and payment required in advance.
Fee: $20 per child

Free Mother's Day Tours
Complimentary tours of the Museum for mothers and grandmothers when accompanied by a paying child or grandchild.

Pirate Fest Saturday, June 21, 10 am-4 pm
Pirate Fest ’08
Arrrrgh, Matey! If it’s a pirate life fer ye, then set yer course for Pirate Fest ’08! Get your fill of cutthroats, scallywags, sea-farin’ scoundrels and thieves. Music, food vendors, costume contest, treasure hunt and more for pirates and land lubbers alike! Rain or shine.
