Give a Gift For Now, and For the Future
Trees, Benches, and Park Amenities for Prince George's County Parks

Invest in the Future of Parks
The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission's Department of Parks and Recreation operates and maintains more than 23,000 acres of parkland in Prince George's County, including neighborhood parks, athletic fields, historic sites, playgrounds, picnic areas, and trails. Open space and landscapes for hiking, bird watching, bicycling, and other outdoor activities are among the many natural resources offered in Prince George's County parks. To conserve additional natural resources, a large percentage of the parkland has been left undeveloped to provide natural open spaces.

High quality parks are an essential characteristic of a healthy and vital community. Parklands and over 34 miles of trails in Prince George's County are used by millions of visitors each year. Projects to enhance and extend our park system are ongoing to meet the future needs of our growing community. Your gift in memory of an individual or honoring an important event will contribute to the beautification of parks, support continued park development, and create community links to local parks.

How You Can Support Your Parks
You can provide vital support to these parklands in Prince George's County through a variety of gifts to the Department of Parks and Recreation. Individual donors, organized groups, local businesses, and national corporations are encouraged to honor a person or event; memorialize a family member or colleague; or celebrate a birthday, anniversary, or other special event through a commemorative gift to the Department of Parks and Recreation.

All donors will receive a dated certificate commemorating the gift, a map recording the placement of the gift, and recognition with a tag, plaque, or sign at the site.
