Can You Find All the Nests?
You really don't need much to start your Prince George's County birds i view bird watching trip – just a desire to explore and a spirit of adventure. But these other items may help in
your search:
- Your official Birds I View Field Guide, featuring a complete guide to the places where the birds are located.
- A Prince George's County road map will be helpful, as we guarantee there are birds in out-of-the-way spots throughout the county.
- A camera with plenty of film (remember, there are 74 birds to find, enjoy and photograph).
- Plenty of time, both to find and view the birds, and to visit the attractions, businesses, museums, and parks that are providing roosting sites.
- Birdwatching season will end in November 2003, when the birds "fly south" via a Flyaway Gala and Auction. So get started now! Remember, the early birdwatchers find the birds and rediscover Prince George's County.
NOTE: Some of the birds may still be en route, but are expected to land in Prince George's County by August 1. Due to the unpredictability of birds in flight, bird locations cannot be guaranteed. Call the M-NCPPC Arts and Cultural Heritage Division at 301-454-1450 or check the bird locations page for the latest info.
