Barbara Mechler is currently pursuing a masters of education degree at the University of Maryland in College Park. She previously earned her B.S. in applied design on the same campus. Mechler accomplished her post-baccalaurate A.A. in fine art degree with highest honors at Prince George's Community College. The artist, assisted by her family on this public art project, lives in Adelphi, Md.
