Located in the Maryland suburbs east of Washington, DC, Prince George's County has more than 26,000 acres of M-NCPPC parkland. Approximately 1/3 has been developed to provide active and passive recreation opportunities. It is very likely that there is a park facility in or near your community. Review our online listing of parks and trails.
Parks and other recreational facilities are grouped by area of the county: northern, central and southern. Each area is staffed by a maintenance crew who cares for the parks and facilities, an inclusion specialist who assists citizens with special needs, and a teen coordinator who works with the community centers to provide programs for teens and preteens. Of course, you are welcome to use any facility or attend any program, no matter where you live or work.
