Love Your Heart at PgparksFebruary is Heart Disease Awareness Month
The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission’s Department of Parks and Recreation offers programs, facilities and services that promote healthy hearts through exercise and nutrition. With heart disease ranking as a leading cause of death, reducing death due to chronic heart ailments is an important goal of many throughout Prince George’s County.
This month, the Department of Parks and Recreation is partnering with Washington Adventist Hospital to provide FREE blood pressure screenings at various activities and sites throughout February. For more information call 301-583-2566; TTY 301-583-2483.
