Located adjacent to the complex's community center, Theresa Banks Memorial Aquatics Center/Glenarden Complex is an indoor, heated 25-yard pool with ramp entry. Open year-round, this facility includes a spa on a tiled deck, locker rooms with coin-operated lockers, and a weight room shared with the community center. Swimming lessons are available for people of all ages and abilities. Lifeguard training classes, senior therapeutic swimming, and water aerobics classes are also offered. Call for information about hours of operation, fees, classes, programs, or job opportunities for lifeguards.

Location/Directions

This complex is located in Glenarden, Maryland, near the Glenarden Municipal Center off of Martin Luther King, Jr. Highway and McLain Avenue. It is accessible by Metro on the Orange Line/New Carrollton station.

From the Capital Beltway (I-495), take Exit 17B (Landover Road, Route 202) toward Washington, D.C. Make a right at the first light onto Brightseat Road. Make a left at the second traffic light onto Glenarden Parkway (Library at corner). Continue on Glenarden Parkway and make a left onto McLain Avenue. Complex is on the right.
