Outdoor pools opening soon!
Outdoor pools will be open from May 25th thru September 2nd, 2013:
- Weekends ONLY from May 25th - June 2nd
- Open 7 Days a Week: June 8th - August 18th
- Weekends ONLY: August 24 - September 2nd
- ALL POOLS WILL CLOSE EARLY (4PM) ON JUNE 8TH FOR AN ALL-STAFF TRAINING AND ON JULY 4TH IN OBSERVANCE OF THE HOLIDAY
- Allentown Splash, Tennis, and Fitness Park and Fairland Sports and Aquatics Complex will close at 4pm on June 15th.

Facility Information
Located adjacent to the Glenarden Community Center, the Theresa Banks Memorial Aquatics Center has an indoor, heated pool with ramp entry. Open year-round, this facility includes a spa (hot tub) on a tiled deck, locker rooms with FREE lockers, and a weight room shared with the community center. Lap swimming is available in 20-yard lanes. Swimming lessons are available for people of all ages and abilities. Lifeguard training classes, senior therapeutic swimming, and water aerobics classes are also offered. Call for information about hours of operation, fees, classes, and programs. Location/Directions
This complex is located in Glenarden, Maryland, near the Glenarden Municipal Center off of Martin Luther King, Jr. Highway and McLain Avenue. It is accessible by Metro on the Orange Line/New Carrollton station.From the Capital Beltway (I-495), take Exit 17B (Landover Road, Route 202) toward Washington, D.C. Make a right at the first light onto Brightseat Road. Make a left at the second traffic light onto Glenarden Parkway (Library at corner). Continue on Glenarden Parkway and make a left onto McLain Avenue. Complex is on the right.
