Maintenance and Closures
Pool closed: Sunday, November 1, 2014-Thursday, January 1, 2015
Re-opens: Friday, January 1, 2015

During this period, the facility will remain open from 9 am-5 pm,Monday-Friday for customer questions, phone calls, and course registrations.

Adjacent to the Rollingcrest-Chillum Community Center, this year-round, indoor splash park’s amenities include 3, 25 yard lap lanes, a specialized water play area for pre-schoolers with slides and spray features, family pool with water slides and spray features, a vending area and shower/changing facilities with coin-operated lockers. This facility offers swimming lessons, water aerobics, certification courses and birthday party packages are available by reservation. No outside food is allowed on the premises.

Drop-in Water Fitness Courses

Are you searching for a commitment-free workout? This plan may work for you. Come in once, twice, three times...or maybe not this week. These water aerobics drop-in courses are designed to give you a great cardio and toning workout. You will use various types of resistance equipment to strengthen muscles including: aqua flotation belts, aqua dumbbells, noodles, aqua cuffs.

Mondays and Wednesdays (Aqua Zumba*), 6:25-7:15 pm
Tuesdays and Thursdays (Aqua Zumba*), 11-11:50 am
Tuesdays and Thursdays (Deep Water), 6:30-7:20 pm
Tuesdays and Thursdays (Shallow Water), 7:30-8:20 pm

10 Class Punch Card Fee: Resident $45; Non-Resident $55 (*Punch Card cannot be use for Aqua Zumba classes)

NOTE: Pool will be closed Saturday, November 1, 2014-Thursday, January 1, 2015 for its indoor pool maintenance. The pool will re-open on Friday, January 2, 2015. During this period, the facility will remain open from 9 am-5 pm on Monday-Friday for customer questions, phone calls, and course registrations.

  • Proof of residency and identification are required.
  • Everyone entering the facility must pay admission fees.
  • Children, 11 years old and under, must be accompanied by a paying adult who is responsible for their supervision at poolside.
  • Children, 5 years old and under, in the water must be within arm’s reach and directly supervised by a responsible adult in appropriate swim attire.
  • Poolside supervision is acceptable at wading/baby pools ONLY.
  • Children 12-17 must have a SMARTlink ID and parental consent to be at the facility unattended.
  • If you leave the facility you must pay to re-enter.
  • Following unscheduled pool closures (i.e. fecal contamination, inclement weather, mechanical problems), re-entry passes will be issues to patrons providing receipts of entry to the pool within the last hour.
  • No outside food is allowed on the premises.

Location/Directions

The swimming pool is located adjacent to the Rollingcrest Community Center. From the Capital Beltway (I-495), take Exit 28 South onto Route 650 (New Hampshire Avenue). Make a left onto Route 193 (University Boulevard). Proceed one mile and make right onto Riggs Road. Make a left onto Sargent Road. The pool is on the right past the Big K-Mart.
