Saturdays: 12 pm - 7 pm Sundays: 12 pm - 7 pm Open from Memorial Day to Labor Day, Ellen Linson Pool includes a 50-meter outdoor Olympic-size pool, a baby pool, a wading area, and locker rooms with coin-operated lockers. Other amenities include a sand volleyball court, outdoor basketball courts, and a vending area. Swimming lessons for people of all ages and abilities, and specialty activities including water aerobics programs and summer day camps are offered. A farmers market, featuring fresh fruits, vegetables, and plants is held on-site Saturday mornings from May through November, and a flea market is open to the public on scheduled Saturdays. Registration for both teams begins in May. Interested participants should have successfully completed youth swim lesson levels I & II or above. The season will run June – August and the cost will be $70 resident / $84 non resident per swimmer plus the cost of team suit and cap. Practice will be Monday through Thursday between 6:30pm and 8:30pm depending on age and skill level. Swim meets will take place on Saturdays before noon. Adapted Aquatics: Social Swim Ellen Linson is also home of the Social Swim program. The Social Swim program, which used to be offered only during the summertime, has long been a popular program for individuals with developmental disabilities. This aquatic program provides participants ages 13 & up with the opportunity to develop and maintain social skills while having fun playing games such as treasure hunt, water polo and volleyball with their peers. In response to many requests from residents for more Social Swim opportunities, this program is now being offered year-round at Margaret Brent Regional Center in New Carrollton. Funbrella or Meeting Room: $150 Resident, $200 Non-Resident Location/Directions The pool is located in College Park, Maryland, convenient to the University of Maryland, between Route 1 and Kenilworth Avenue. Accessible by Metro on the Green Line, College Park station. From the Capital Beltway (I-495), take Exit 23 South (College Park). This is Kenilworth Avenue (Route 201). Proceed for 1½ miles, and turn right onto Paint Branch Parkway. Turn left into the parking lot (across from the 94th Aero Squadron Restaurant). From U.S. Route 1, turn onto Paint Branch Parkway at the intersection in front of the main entrance to the University of Maryland.
