Club 300: Senior Summer Walking Program

Club 300 walking began Wednesday, May 21 and will conclude on Friday, Sept. 19. Join seniors from around the county and see how many miles you can walk!  Pick up your Club 300 packet at Senior Health and Fitness Day on May 21 at the Sports and Learning Complex.  You will receive a Club 300 t-shirt, a pedometer that tracks miles, a walking mileage log, maps of local trails, and a list of our group walks!  Don't miss out on this great new opportunity!

Bingofest

Friday, August 1, 10 am-2 pm
Want to have some fun while helping others? Starting the school year off with the right school supplies is challenging for many students. Come out and play bingo and win great prizes just for donating school supplies for Prince George's High School students in need. A box lunch will be provided. Registration begins May 12. Advance registration required.

Active Aging Week:  Let the Adventure Begin!  September 22-26, 2014

Let your adventure begin by trying a new activity!  In celebration of Active Aging Week, seniors 60 & better are invited to come out, tap into their adventurouse spirit and have some fun!  Over 30 FREE senior Activities will be offered throughout Prince George's County!  A brochure with a complete listing of all the activities will be available by Sept. 1.

The Department of Parks and Recreation provides numerous large scale special events designed exclusively for seniors throughout the year. Our 2014 Special Events Sponsorship Opportunities for Seniors 60 & Better include: Seniors on Stage, Senior Health and Fitness Day, Senior Dance Party and six senior concerts offered throughout the year.
