Winner Announced for the 2013 Prince George's Senior Idols:

7th Annual Maryland Senior Idol Winner: Irving Haywood

Irving Haywood from Prince George's County won over the crowd and the judges on April 3 at the Maryland Senior Idol with his performance of "Change is Going to Come"  and was crowned the 2013 Maryland Senior Idol.  Sixteen contestants representing nine of the Maryland Counties competed at the 7th Annual Maryland Senior Idol contest to a sold out crowd of 700 audience members.  Charlene Haupt from Harford County took 2nd place by singing "Cheek to Cheek".  The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission, Department of Parks and Recreation, Prince George's County hosted this year's contest at the Bowie Center for the Performing Arts.

Take part in the 20th Annual Senior Health and Fitness Day. Over 50 exhibitors along with lots of great activities such as Tai Chi, hand dancing, chair exercise, hula hooping, self-defense, Zumba Gold, line dancing, massage therapy, African Drumming and even a Safety Talk by Park Police are offered. Don't forget to stop by for health screenings.

Bingo-Fest

Admission: School supply items for Prince George's County middle school students in need.
Bingo-Fest allows you to have fun while helping others. Starting the school year with the school supplies is challenging for many families. Play bingo and win great prizes. Registration is underway.
