SeniorsBeing a senior in Prince George's County is better than ever. Offering a wide range of programs, facilities and services, the Department of Parks and Recreation is dedicated to meeting the social, intellectual and recreational needs of residents who are 60 years old & better.M-NCPPC offers six friendly, inviting senior activity centers just for people ages 60 and over. These senior activity centers offer special events, trips, classes, health programs, information and referrals. Provided by the Prince George’s County Department of Family Services, Area Office on Aging, transportation and hot lunches are also available at these sites. If you are a resident of Prince George’s or Montgomery Counties, membership cards for admission to these senior activity centers are free and allow you to participate in the programs of interest to you. Not quite 60? For a small annual fee, you can get a Pre-Senior ID (ages 50 - 59) which allows you access to community centers and senior activity centers. Contact any of the senior activity centers for more information or bring proof residency and age to any center and sign up for the Pre-Senior ID! Sports, Health and Wellness OpportunitiesDid you know seniors ages 60 & better who are residents of Prince George’s or Montgomery Counties can work out at any M-NCPPC community center fitness room for FREE with an M-NCPPC Community Center/Fitness ID Card? Just bring verification of residency and age to the center to obtain your FREE senior membership card. Fitness room amenities vary by site and allow you to work out at times and locations that is convenient for you. Hoop It Up Basketball for Seniors
Designed for seniors, 60 & better, this NEW basketball program includes half court 3 on 3 scrimmages, shooting for time, free-throw shooting, and so much more. Calling all seniors men who want to keep playing the sport they love! Arts Opportunities
