Black Indians: A History
Join us at Watkins Nature Center for a screening of “Black Indians: An American Story,” narrated by James Earl Jones. This 60 minutes film brings to light a forgotten part of America’s past – the cultural and racial fusion of Native and African Americans. After the screening, Aio Sifu, will speak about the history of Black Indians referencing her personal life experiences, while answering any questions you might have. We will explore what brought these two groups together, what drove them apart and what challenges they face today. Limited space; please call to reserve your spot.
