Interpretive programs and hikes offered at this wetland site known for its rare plant life. A variety of carnivorous plants, as well as rare and threatened plants, thrive at Suitland Bog. The bog is open to the public from dawn to sunset. Visitors may park in front of the entrance gate. To enjoy the unique flora and fauna at this site, or to find out about programs at the bog, contact the Park Ranger Office.

Location/Directions

The bog is located on Suitland Road at the Suitland Parkway intersection.

From the Capital Beltway (I-495), take Exit 7A (Branch Avenue), toward Waldorf. Take Route 5 south. Take the Allentown Road exit. Make a left onto Allentown Road. Stay on Allentown Road through five lights. Turn left onto Suitland Road at the 6th light. Follow Suitland Road until it passes under Suitland Parkway. The entrance to the Suitland Bog is to the right.
