Prince George's County's only urban nature center, the Mount Rainier Nature and Recreation Center features hands-on exhibits, live animals, educational displays, a game room, an outdoor amphitheater, campfire pit, and a playground. A variety of natural history interpretive programs for community and school groups are available. The center has a fully-equipped recreation room available to rent for meetings and special occasions. Please call for more information.

Location/Directions

From the Capital Beltway, take Exit Route 1/College Park, travel 4 miles and turn right on East-West Highway/Route 410. Go 1/2 mile and turn left on Queen's Chapel Road/MD-500. Continue 1.6 miles and turn left at 30th Street; turn left at 31st Place.
