50th Anniversary

This year the Patuxent River Park is celebrating its 50th anniversary. In honor of this special year, the park is hosting 2 special events:

  • June 23-24 The Great American Backyard Campout. Connect with nature on this family-fun event.
  • August 4  The Jug Bay Raft Regatta. Have some fun this summer on this homemade raft race.

Learn how to weave a basket using reed and other natural materials. For students of all skill-levels - beginner to advanced. Materials supplied by instructor. Contact the facility for a list of tools students need to bring.
