Clearwater Nature Center sponsors a variety of Special Events during the year both at our facility and at other facilities. Unless otherwise noted, these events are for all ages and registration is not required.


Mineral, Jewelry & Fossil Show


The Southern Maryland Rock & Mineral Club and Clearwater Nature Center is once again hosting their annual show and sale. This is an indoor event and will be held rain or shine.

  • Date: Saturday, February 16
  • Time: 10 am-5 pm
  • Fee: $3/person; FREE ages 6 & under
  • Location: The Show Place Arena, 14900 Pennsylvania Avenue, Upper Marlboro 20772
  • Vendor Info: A limited number of tables will be available for $30/table
  • Info: Exhibitors and vendors will feature original jewelry designs using rough, polished, and faceted stones. Discover fossils, minerals, and geodes and search for beads, findings, and tools. For more information, please call 301-297-4575
