Rental Details

Montpelier Mansion sits on approximately 70 acres of beautiful parkland. Select rooms of the mansion have been researched and furnished as they would have appeared in the early 1800s. The mansion features two wings lit by chandeliers with high ceilings and crown molding. The house is surrounded by several varieties of evergreens and 200-year-old boxwoods.

Birthday Parties

Your child will have a rollicking good time, the old-fashioned way! 

Choose from one of the following themes:

• "Tea & Garden Party" –Discover the wonderful scents, colors, and flavors that grow in an 18th century garden!
• "Join the Militia!" – Do hands-on activities to learn about a soldier’s life in the American Revolution.
• "Whirley-gigs, Horses & Hats" – Play, dress, even “travel” like they did two hundred years ago (hobby horses provided).
• "Courtesies, Hankies and Caps" – Make a doll, do a dance, and learn to be 18th century ladies and gentlemen.
• Mother Goose Party! – Go on a scavenger hunt, make crafts, play games and sing some of your favorite nursery rhymes.
• "Teddy and Me Tea!" - Bring your favorite stuffed animal or doll for a fancy tea, games, dress up, and more! 

Parties are $10 per child and $5 per adult. $2 extra per person if we supply plates, napkins, forks, spoons and cups. Maximum 30 people. 2 hour party includes activities and room. Renter provides food and drinks (we provide tea for tea birthday parties).
