adelphi mill exteriorBuilt ca. 1796, the Adelphi Mill is Prince George's County's only surviving historic mill. It is the oldest and largest mill in the Washington area. The Scholfield brothers built the mill in 1796, and it was later owned and operated by George Washington Riggs. The two-story, rustic stone building features a pine interior with hardwood floors and is situated in a lovely park setting. The Adelphi Mill is located on the Northwest Branch of the Anacostia River, within minutes of the University of Maryland, inside the Capital Beltway.

Rental Information

This air-conditioned, historic mill is available for public rentals. Adelphi Mill has a warming kitchen for the caterer of your choice. Only one function is scheduled per day at Adelphi Mill, so the renter has the flexibility of choosing any 6-hour time period, to end no later than 11 PM.

Deposits

Rental of the Adelphi Mill requires a $200 deposit (cash, Visa or Mastercard) that covers key and security.

Monday-Thursday - $525/6 hours
Friday-Sunday (and holidays) - $625/6 hours

Rates for Non Bi-County Residents

Monday-Thursday - $725/6 hours
Friday-Sunday (and holidays) - $825/6 hours
