Summer Playgrounds and Xtreme Teen Centers

2013 Information

Every summer, hundreds of children and teens meet at Summer Playgrounds or Summer Xtreme Teens Centers for supervised, recreational activities. Open to residents of Prince George's County only, this program is available at more than 83 participating elementary schools and M-NCPPC facilities throughout Prince George's County. Registration begins April 1.

This drop-in program operates from Monday, June 24 through Friday, August 2.

*Before and After Care options are not available at these sites.
*Playgrounds and teen centers have fewer staff and more children than do the summer day camps.
*Registered children and teens are free to come and go during the day, and to attend some days but not others.
*Participants attending a site that does not provide refrigeration should bring a non-perishable lunch.
*Sites are subject to change based on location availability and sufficient registration.
*Additional nominal fees will be charged for off-site transportation and special events.
