Located in William Beanes Elementary School, this community center includes a gymnasium (shared with the school), an office area, a storage area, and restrooms. The center also uses some rooms in the school, when available. Two tennis courts are located outside the community center. Recreation programs and classes in the areas of sports, arts, fitness, dance, crafts, drama, games, self-improvement, computers, hobbies, martial arts, music, and do-it-yourself instruction are among the activities offered here. The center also hosts camps, special events, workshops, drop-in programs, after-school programs, and cultural activities at different times. People of all ages will find a variety of recreation opportunities available at the center. The center participates in the Xtreme Teens program every Friday and Saturday from 7-10 pm. Location/DirectionsLocated off Silver Hill Road within the William Beanes Elementary School.
From the Capital Beltway (I-495), take Exit 11 (Pennsylvania Avenue) Route 4 toward Washington, D.C. Proceed 4 miles and make a left onto Silver Hill Road. Continue for 1½ miles. Make left onto Swann Road. Go through apartment complex and make a left onto Dianna Drive. Follow school signs. The center entrance is on your far right (in the back of the parking lot).
From Branch Avenue, take Branch Avenue toward Washington, D.C. to Silver Hill Road. Turn right onto Silver Hill Road and proceed 1½ miles to Swain Road. Turn right onto Swann Road and proceed to Dianna Drive. Turn left onto Dianna Drive and proceed to Center entrance in back of parking lot on far right.
