girl back flipIn 2005, Oakcrest Community Center opened as a Community Park School/Center adjacent to the William Hall Elementary School. The facility includes a gymnasium, multi-purpose room, fitness/exercise room, dance room, community room, offices and classrooms. Outdoor amenities include tennis courts, playground, soccer and softball fields, and a basketball court.

A variety of recreation programs and classes in the areas of arts, fitness, dance, computers, martial arts, creative dramatics, and sports are offered at this center. After school programming, Xtreme Teens activities, summer and holiday camps are highlights of the programs we offer youth. Adults can enjoy workshops, senior trips and fitness classes. Year-round Black History programs and seasonal celebrations are among the many reasons to stop by Oakcreat Community Center.

Oakcrest Community Center After School Program
Beginning August 23, 2010 Oakcrest Community Center will provide a safe, educational and fun after school program.  The after school program will have 3 components: After-School Study and Play, Group Games, After-School Crafts. Registration is required.
Fee: $85

Friday, September 10, 6:30-9:30 pm   
Teen Night Out: Financial Education and Life Skills Workshop
Playing the game choices. Free food, entertainment and giveaways. Students can receive Service Learning for attending this workshop.
Ages 10-17, FREE

Mondays, September 13 through October 4, 1-3 pm
Very Diabetic Counts Workshop
Diabetics are affected by their disease in many facets of their life.  Take the opportunity to learn more about your health, and how to maintain or prevent diabetes. These classes will examine productive and efficient ways to exercise, introduce new healthy eating tips, and provide advice on how to break former bad habits. Meet other people who are currently struggling with diabetes or those who have in the past. During these classes you will have the opportunity to ask questions and learn from specialized personnel who will provide you with a foundation to build upon to maintain a daily balance of exercise and nutrition.

From the Capital Beltway (I-495), take Pennsylvania Avenue Exit 11 (Route 4) towards Washington, D.C. Continue on Route 4 to Brooks Drive. Make a right onto Brooks Drive to Marlboro Pike. Make a left onto Marlboro Pike. Stay on Marlboro Pike about a half mile.
