NOTE: This center is currently closed for renovations, and pending completion of all renovations, is scheduled to reopen Spring of 2010. Renovations will include a full building makeover, two additional multipurpose rooms, a new fitness center, a new Kids' Care room, and a new playground.
Built in 1991 and located in the Oxon Run Stream Valley Park, Hillcrest Heights Community Center features a gymnasium, a multi-purpose room, a kitchen, a fitness room, a dance room, a game room, storage rooms, restrooms, and office space. The outdoor amenities include two playgrounds, a tennis court, and a baseball/softball field.
Sports, arts, fitness, dance, crafts, cooking, self-improvement, computers, drama, games, hobbies, martial arts, music, and do-it-yourself instruction are among the activities offered. The center also hosts tournaments, clubs, camps, special events, workshops, drop-in programs, after-school programs, and cultural activities at different times. Pre-schoolers, children, teens, adults, and senior citizens will find a variety of recreation opportunities available at the center. The center participates in the Xtreme Teens program every Friday and Saturday from 7-10 pm.

From the Capital Beltway (I-495) ) South toward Richmond, Virginia, take Exit 7B North (Branch Avenue toward Washington, D.C.). Make a left onto Iverson Street. Make a right onto 23rd Parkway. Make a right onto Oxon Run Drive. Center is on the left.
From Suitland Parkway (District of Columbia), make a right onto Naylor Road. Crossing into the District of Columbia. Turn left onto Southern Ave. SE / Southern Ave (Crossing into Maryland) Turn left onto 23rd Parkway. Turn left onto Oxon Run Dr.
