Community Centers Community centers are the cornerstone of leisure time activities in Prince George's County. Since opening the first M-NCPPC community center in 1968, our programs and facilities have grown with the community to a total of 44 facilities serving local neighborhoods and towns. While some of these centers are free-standing buildings, others are attached to schools and serve as a true hub of community activity. Each center offers classes, programs, drop-in activities and special events for people of all ages. Gymnasiums, meeting rooms, kitchens, multipurpose activity rooms, weight/fitness rooms and pre-school rooms are some of the features found in our centers. Outdoor amenities vary from site to site and include combinations of play equipment, athletic fields, multipurpose courts, picnic areas, and trails. All community centers offer Xtreme Teens and Pre-Teens programs on Friday and Saturday nights. Classes and activities at community centers are listed in SMARTlink and you can register on line by clicking on the SMARTlink logo, or using our automated phone system at 301-583-BOOK (2665). You must have a FREE SMARTlink account to register. Click here to learn how to create a SMARTlink account. Looking for information about current building renovations and projects?
