Montpelier has many opportunities for visual artists throughout the year. To receive competition notices, please call the arts center or send your name and address to Montpelier.arts@pgparks.com with “Visual arts opportunities” in the subject line.

Artists interested in exhibiting in the Main Gallery or curators who want to propose an exhibition should send a one page proposal, resume(s), and a CD of no fewer than 20 images to Main Gallery, Montpelier Arts Center, 9652 Muirkirk Road, Laurel, MD 20708. These materials will be maintained on file at Montpelier unless return postage is included.

19th Annual Patuxent Art League Open Juried Exhibition
December 6- Jan 3
Open to all Maryland, Northern Virginia and District of Columbia artists over 18 years of age. Download the prospectus.

The ALL HUNG exhibition returns January 2010- Any artist 18 years and older may bring one piece, no greater than 36” wide, to Montpelier Arts Center on January 6 from 9 am until all three galleries are full.

41st Annual Laurel Art Guild Open Juried Exhibition,
March 5-28
Deadline for submissions: postmarked by February 5. Open to all Maryland, Northern Virginia and District of Columbia artists over 18 years of age. The prospectus will be available online after December 1st.
