Permits are needed to use many M-NCPPC recreation facilities in Prince George's County. Permits for the Adelphi Mill, bandwagon, garden plots, open shelters, recreation centers (air conditioned/heated), and regional parks are issued by the Park Permit Office. For information and availability regarding these facilities contact the Park Permit Office.
All fees and deposits are subject to change. All rentals made through the Park Permits Office must be paid in full at the time of reservation. In order to rent a park shelter or recreation building, the renter must first become a verified SMARTlink Customer and provide valid proof of residency, age and ID. PLEASE NOTE: Effective February 1st, 2013, clients reserving a rental building by phone must confirm rental agreements using electronic signature via email. Clients must have access to email during the reservation phone call as the agreement will be emailed for signature at the same time. Rental agreements will not be finalized until the emailed document is verified and electronically signed by the client.
CANCELLATION POLICY (effective 5/1/04): All cancellations prior to five (5) business days of an event will result in an 80% refund of the cost of the facility. All cancellations within five (5) business days of an event will not be eligible for any refund.
No refunds will be issued for inclement weather conditions including rain and snow.

- Electricity is not available at any of the shelters. Amplification or excessive noise is prohibited. Renters are not allowed to have a moon bounce, dunk tank or pony rides.
- Open Shelters are reserved from 10 am to 7 pm. Only one permit is issued per day. In the event that persons are occupying reserved picnic areas upon your arrival, please show them your permit and if needed, call Park Police for assistance - 301-459-3232.
- Rain Cancellation Policy: No refunds or reschedules will be processed due to rain, snow, etc.

Go past Paint Branch Golf Course/Golden Bear Center and make a left onto Metzerott Road (before the traffic light). Picnic area will be past the pool, on the left. (Sits across from Paint Branch Golf Course entrance.) From University Blvd. West, go past Metzerott Rd/Azalea Lane (at traffic light) and make next right onto Metzerott Road (continued from previous Metzerott Rd on the left).

Beltway I-95/495 Exit #17B (Route 202, Landover Road toward Bladensburg). Follow Landover Road and turn left at traffic signal onto Pinebrook Avenue (before you get to Route 50) and follow to end of road and turn left into parking lot. The picnic shelter is the wood structure located behind the PG Ballroom & Kentland Community Center Park.

Turn right (before the ballfields) into the picnic area parking lot. (Brick shelter.) Restrooms located by this shelter.

Beltway I-95/495 Exit #23B (Kenilworth Avenue south toward Bladensburg). Follow Kenilworth Avenue past Route 410 (East-West Highway) and make 2nd right onto Riverdale Road. Turn left on Tanglewood Drive, picnic area will be on the left. (Wooden shelter.) Walk to restrooms by shelter #1.
