EXHIBITION IN ANNAPOLIS HIGHLIGHTS PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY ARTISTS
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE THROUGH APRIL 12, 2010 EXHIBITION IN ANNAPOLIS HIGHLIGHTS PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY ARTISTS Greenbelt, MD - The exhibition TIME/SPACE: An Exhibition of Prince George’s County Artists highlights artists who live and work in Prince George’s County. Artists were asked to address the concepts of Time and Space in their work. The results show off the vast artistic talent present in Prince George’s County. The show is currently on display in the Prince George’s Delegation Wing of the Lowe House Office Building in Annapolis through April 12, and features the work of sculptors, painters, photographers and fabric artists in the area. The exhibition, which coincides with Maryland’s legislative session, reinforces for the lawmakers that artists are important constituents and members of the community. Artists represented in the exhibition include Diana Brown, Melissa Burley, Sharon Burton, Kenneth Cox, Jason Cox, Barbara Crawley Crowe, Phyllis Evans, Peggy Haas, Winston Harris, Arnold Hurley, Tom Kenyon, Tom Kirby, Suzanne Koch, Cassandra McLaurin, Karen Norman, Celestine Ranney-Howes, Charles Reiher, Zenobia Rickford, Nora Simon, Fran Stetina, Bonita Tabakin, Andrei Trach, Diane Tuckman, Tinam Valk, and E.L Whitley. A reception with the artists, organized by the Prince George’s Arts Council, will be held from 3-5pm on Thursday, March 18 in the Prince George’s Delegation Wing of the Lowe House Office Building in Annapolis. Leagues for ages 5-18 will commence in April and run through July. Prospective umpires will receive free expert training in baseball rules and field mechanics beginning February 24, 2010.
