Becoming a Food Vendor

food vendor Vendor Information

  • Establish a free business/organization account. Contact a community center near you for account information.
  • Submit a complete Food Vendor Application with required documents by August 2, 2013.
  • Submit a menu with price list.
  • Applications will be reviewed within ten (10) business days.
  • Only money orders or cash will be accepted. Please make money order payable to M-NCPPC. CHECKS ARE NOT ACCEPTED.
  • All vendors must have General Liability Insurance of no less than $500,000.
  • The sale and consumption of alcohol is strictly prohibited.
  • A One time event food permit  is required for this event.   Permits are vendor's responsibility and must be requested in advanced to Prince George's County Health Department Inspector.  On-site inspection will be held on the day of the event by the Prince George's Health Department.
  • Vendors are required to clean up and leave the park by 7 pm in order to receive their deposit.
  • The Festival Committee will not be responsible for any loss beyond their control.

Food Vendors Rules and Regulations
All vendors must:
  • Set-up by 7 am and will not be allowed to set up after 10 am.
  • Set-up in the numbered space assigned. No changing spaces prior or during the event.
  • Provide their own flame retardant tent, tables and chairs. The tent should be in good condition and preferrably white in color. Tents should not display any unauthorized logos.
  • Provide an "A la Carte" printed menu with prices and have it posted at all times. We recommend to use a bilingual menu.
  • No glass bottles allowed.
  • Have their original Health Department Food Permit on display at all times.
  • Provide their own electricity and water.
  • Avoid placing the food on the ground.
  • Make sure that the person who handles the monies do not handle the food.
  • Wear hairnets at all times.
  • Provide gloves for the food handlers to wear when handling food.
  • Have their own fire extinguisher.
  • Place the gas grills to the rear of the vending space, as a safety precaution, to avoid injuries to the public.
  • Park their car in their designated vendor parking area and not behind the food vending area.
  • Remain on the festival grounds until 6pm. For the safety of our festival patrons and vendors, cannot leave before 6pm.
  • Stop selling food to the public at 6 pm.
  • Have a permit sales tax account.
  • Not allow customer behind their food vending area.  Eating area behind the food area is not permitted.
  • Remove their trash by placing in the assigned receptacle, located behind the food vendor area.
  • Clean up and leave the festival grounds by 7 pm.
  • NO MUSIC ALLOWED IN THIS AREA.
