Lecture Series: Historic African-American Architects

Saturday, April 14, 2018

Please join us for the second in our lecture series on the works of African American architects. Historian Susan Pearl will discuss architect W. Sidney Pittman (1875-1958), who lived in Fairmount Heights, Prince George's County. Son-in-law of Booker T. Washington, Pittman was best known for his design of the Negro Building at the 1907 Jamestown Ter-centennial and the 12th Street YMCA building in the District of Columbia.

Light refreshments will be served during a meet and greet with Pearl following the program.
