The Beltway BBQ is looking for both individuals over the age 15* as well as groups to help with this years BBQ Showdown. Volunteers should be of a pleasant disposition, willing and able to follow direction and have an outgoing personality suited for working with the public.
Friday's volunteers must be 21 and over

BBQ X-Treme Teen Grill-Off - Friday, May 29th
Adults over age 21 / Needed from 4 pm-10:30 pm 

Duties include: 

  • Assist staff and teen teams with set up and clean-up of grill supplies, cooking area and festival grounds in general.

Beltway BBQ Showdown Festival - Saturday, May 30th 
Individuals age 15 & up and groups w/ adult supervision /Needed 7 am-3 pm or 12 noon-8 pm

Duties include:

  • Assist in the Children’s Area with arts & crafts, games and activities. Collect tickets, help children w/ projects, getting on and off rides, etc.
  • Assist at the Information Booth; greet visitors as they enter the festival grounds, distribute programs, share general information, distribute and collect evaluations, etc.
  • Assist throughout festival grounds in general as needed.
  • Everyone will help set-up and breakdown/clean up the event.
  • This is an outdoor event and will take place rain or shine.
  • Be prepared to walk and/or stand for an extended amount of time.
  • Volunteers will be contacted with mandatory orientation date and location after registering.
